Our Events

Texas A&M University Horsemen’s Association is proud of its members and their involvement in the club, university, and community. We enjoy recognizing recent events that our members have participated in over the academic year.

Horsemen's Association Barrel Race

This will be our third annual Barrel Race, but with a twist! It's a 2-Day Series!

The barrel race will take place on March 2nd, 2024 and March 23rd, 2024 at Freeman Arena. For more information please contact us.

Meetings and Demos

We have multiple meetings and demos throughout the year both on campus and at Freeman Arena where the A&M horses are bred and boarded! We also have field trips to various equine locations! Once to twice a year we have a "Ride Night" at Freeman Arena for a little break from school by riding some amazing horses!

Every Fall and Spring Semester

Stock Horse of Texas

Horsemen's Association is always willing and able to assist with the SHTX clinic and show twice a year in the Fall and Spring semester. Members are able to help with many positions, such as the show office, gates, trail set up, and serve as scribes. We are especially proud of the Texas A&M Ranch Horse team who continually pour their hearts into their horses and their team!

The Big Event

The Big Event held once a year where we help out around the Bryan/ College Station area, along with hundreds of other organizations from Texas A&M. Thank you to all of our members who came out to help serve the community!

Do I have to own a horse to be a member?

Absolutely not! In fact, many of our members do not currently own their horse. We hope that offering plenty of networking contacts to our members that would like to ride or eventually own a horse, are able to reach out and accomplish those goals.

Are there any requirements that I must fulfill to join the club?

The only thing that we require of future members is that you have an interest in horses! As long as dues are paid, there are no other requirements.

Can y'all help me find a stable for riding lessons specific to my riding level?

Yes! Email us with a description of your riding background, what style you prefer to ride in, and budget! We would be more than happy to help you with finding a stable in the area!

Do I have to be in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and an undergraduate student to join?

Not at all! Our membership is open to students in any major. Graduate and Undergraduate students are welcome to be members with us!
